A PERFECT NIGHT IN.

Yesterday I said to my boyfriend that I really wanted a pamper evening with the girls after watching this video by Amelia Liana. Much to my shock he replied "how about we have our own tonight?" by golly gee whiz how did I find this man? He's a keeper alright :)

Later that afternoon we bobbed along to Morrisons and brought the Montagne Jeunesse Dead sea mud masks, remember the ones from when you was in school, and your mom would buy them for a £1 so you and your friends could use them at a sleepover? We also brought a double chocolate brownie cheesecake - Ultimate girls night in... minus the girls and add a boyfriend instead = Ultimate great night in!
So we cooked one of our favourite dinners, Tuna Pasta Bake sat down and started watching Twilight. I've only seen the first two and that was a few years ago so I can't actually remember much of the story so Mark downloaded them all for us to watch. That seems to be our thing now, watching series of films in one big go. Not in the same day obviously, well sometimes sshh we got through the whole 3 series of New Girl in like 2 days and I'm not even ashamed!

After indulging in Tuna pasta bake and chocolate brownie cheesecake and watched the second twilight, it was face mask time!
I apologise for the horrendous image quality in these pictures, they were taken on the front facing camera on my phone and it's pretty poor at night. Obviously a face mask selfie is needed duh? I just didn't know when to stop with the snapping...
Ofcourse this was also the perfect time to pull incredibly ugly faces and send snapchat pictures to everyone and sit back with a cup of tea. Or if your a boy, sit and play games on your computer like my boyfriend did :)

My skin felt pretty good after using these masks, they did itch a little bit but nothing uncomfortable and I have REALLY sensitive skin! They only cost us £1.20 and for that price I think they are great!! They worked really well at drawing out dirt (yuk) as I woke up this morning and had a few tiny blemishes across my nose. My skin felt really fresh and clean afterwards no irritated patches or tightness which I can get from others. I don't think they work as well as other face masks I've tried but if you're looking for something cheap for travelling or just a spare of the moment pamper evening like mine then these masks are perfect! And thanks Mark for allowing me to put that picture up, you're such a champ ;)

Lots of Love,

UMBERTO GIANNINI: MEND MY HAIR.

Everytime I get an email come through inviting me to one of the Umberto Giannini blogger events I know it's going to be a good one! I am yet to be disappointed - and I don't think I ever will be.

Rebuild strengthening damage hair shampoo *, Recover nourishing damage repair Conditioner *, Therapy Intensive damage repair 5 in 1 hair oil *, Rehab salon smooth damage repair protein spray *

This time around was to try out their new MEND treatment - a new treatment to go alongside their new salon only Mend My Hair range (which is also available in boots stores). The MEND treatment starts off with the Therapy oil, which is massaged through the hair to penetrate the hair shaft and start working on everyday damage such as heat and hair colouring. The hair is then wrapped in a hot towel and you're left to relax with a detox tea - which tasted gorgeous. The oil is then left in for 10 minutes and washed out afterwards with the Rebuild Strengthening Shampoo and conditioned with the Recover Nourishing Conditioner then you'll also receive a 10 minute relaxing pressure point head massage, which is where I nearly fell asleep!! Your hair will then be prepared for styling with the Rehab Protein Spray and again the Therapy Oil. The treatment is then finished with a blow dry and style of your choice. This treatment was incredibly relaxing and I came out feeling like I'd been to spa, for the next 2 days my hair felt incredible afterwards! It felt really healthy and bouncy.

This treatment is available in ALL Umberto Giannini Salons for just £15 until 31st March 2014, You'll also receive a complimentary bottle of the Therapy Hair Oil. - I can't express how amazing it was, you just HAVE to try it out!!

The lovely team at Umberto Giannini sent me the Mend My Hair range to try out at home. As soon as I received it I had to give it a go, It felt amazing in the salon and I was intrigued to see how good it would feel at home.
Rebuild strengthening damage hair shampoo - This was the product I was most surprised by. It smells gorgeous, it has that distinctive Umberto Giannini scent (which I love) and it felt incredible when washing my hair. When I was rubbing this product into my hair I was really shocked at how nourished my hair was feeling straight away, the product itself felt like shampoo but my hair felt like it had conditioner on it. Even after washing the shampoo out my hair felt so nourished, it didn't feel dry or stripped back like I find other shampoos do.Recover nourishing damage repair Conditioner - This smelt exactly the same as the shampoo and didn't feel any different to the shampoo either, just a thicker, creamier consistency. When massaging this through my hair, my hair felt the same as the shampoo did - really nourished, really soft and already really healthy. My ends are always dry and when I get out the shower they can look a little bit like broken bits of straw (yuk) especially if I let my hair dry naturally. I towel dried my hair a little and waited about 20 minutes for my hair to semi dry. My ends looked so healthy, they didn't look dry in the slightest!

I'm so impressed with this shampoo and conditioner! They smell gorgeous and left my hair feeling and looking so healthy.
Therapy Intensive damage repair  5 in 1 hair oil - I used this once my hair was semi dry. It smells exactly the same as the shampoo and conditioner does and a little goes a long way with this product. I used 2 pumps and when running it through my hair realised even that was too much.
Rehab salon smooth damage repair protein spray - I used this just before blow drying my hair as it has heat protection in it. I find with a lot of other products I've used with heat protection in they can feel a little cakey and sticky on the hair once dry, but this one didn't. I just sparingly sprayed this through my hair and blow dry'd.

I'm really surprised at how great my hair looks and feels after one use of these products not to mention how great it smells. I also can't tell you enough how great the MEND Treatment was, for just £15 you'll walk away feeling so relaxed and your hair will love you for it!

The Mend My Hair range is available in all Umberto Giannini Salons and Boots stores. Can't urge you enough to try it out, thank you Umberto Giannini for inviting me to have this incredible treatment and for sending me these products!

RE-WORKING OLD JEANS.

Since moving back to my Mom's house it's been a little hard to be creative. All my craft supplies, sewing machines, fabrics ect are all in boxes in the dining room awaiting for me to move back out again (whenever that may be).
The other day I found a pair of "jeggings" (hate that word) that I brought from Primark ages ago but never wear so I thought seeming as I wanted a pair of ripped jeans I'd get my DIY on and make my own. I'm pretty impressed with how they turned out, took me a while to do but there was something very therapeutic about making these rips. Originally I thought this would make a great DIY post but there are a tonne of youtube tutorials on how to do this.

After doing it to this pair of jeans I started looking around my room for other things to rip and had to force myself not to get carried away on the whole ripping and distressing.

Have you ever up-cycled any old clothes before? What did you do?

FASHION FOCUS: FEARNE COTTON

We all have those moments of looking at a celebrity or a model in a magazine and and think "oh wow I love what she's wearing!" Well I have those moments every time I look at Fearne Cotton! God damn is she one heck of a trendy wendy!

Source for all these images: Pinterest
I have loved Fearne ever since a young teen watching her on CITV and Top of the Pops (remember those days?). This lady knows how to dress, she's got such a cool, rebellious look to her but I love that she plays on that and pairs androgynous styles with feminine shapes and textures. She's a lady that seems to pull anything off!

"Something I currently love wearing is a good pair of slacks - ankle skimmers - with a soft mohair jumper with a pair of black flat boots. It's a masculine shape but it's still cute with the jumper." Fearne said in an interview for mydaily.co.uk.

Whenever I'm looking for a bit of style inspiration Fearne is someone I always look at. She's someone who knows her fashion trends very well and this shows in her collections that she designs for Very.co.uk which screams out Fearne's style perfectly - Quirky, pretty, androgynous and playful.

Two looks inspired by Fearne's style...

Who do you look for when looking for fashion inspiration?

Happy Valentines Day ;)

COMPULSIVE BUYING DISORDER - BEAUTY HAUL.

Apparently, according to Wikipedia Compulsive Buying Disorder is an actual thing. Who knew eh? I literally cannot stop buying beauty products at the moment, someone please - I need my friends & family to all join together and do a How I met your mother style intervention! -joking obviously!

For someone who's currently seeking employment, this is naughty! But I don't know what's wrong with me, I can't stop. I will however say, in my defence, it's not like I'm out there buying high end products all the time. It is all stuff on offer or just a straight up bargain! All the Avon products below literally cost me £16 - YES ALL OF THEM!! And the L'oreal was on offer too so y'know, it's not that naughty of me! So shhh - I'm allowed a treat!

These above are the latest additions to my fast growing make up collection! I picked up the Miss Manga mascara back in December (maybe the beginning of January) when it was on offer because of it's new release, I picked it up for £5.99 - BARGAIN!! The L'oreal Lumi Magique Primer I got for half price when I was repurchasing my favourite L'oreal True Match Foundation another bargain, see I am good really!

My best friend has just started working with Avon being a representative so it was a little hard to flick through the brochure and not want to buy anything! A lot of the products were on offer or in the sale which I picked up which is why it all worked out so cheap!

Avon Glimmerstick in Blackest Black
Avon Glimmerstick Diamonds in Sugar Plum
I didn't actually order the Glimmerstick in Blackest Black my best friend gave it me for free as she's got so many black eyeliners. I'm actually really disapointed in it, it's so dry and even when you run the pencil over the top of your hand it takes a few layers to really get the products "working". But on the other hand the Sugar Plum eyeliner is amazing! It's such a beautfiul plum colour with sparkle in it, it looks absolutely amazing on the eyes. It's not as dark as I would of liked it to of been but when you build it up it looks stunning.

Avon eyeshadow brush with smudger
Avon eyeliner brush

This is the smudger part at the bottom of the eye shadow brush, I haven't actually used the smudger yet but it feels like it would work perfectly with a Kohl pencil. The eyeliner brush I originally brought to use as an eyebrow angled brush but it's far too soft so I've been using it with eyeshadow to create soft winged liners and it's beautiful. The handle of the brushes are curved perfectly and they're so comfortable to hold - God I sound like such a geek!

I did actually buy a Kabuki Brush aswell from Avon but I forgot to include it in the pictures. I'm really disappointed with it. The actual hairs are really stiff, they're not soft so it's a little too rough on my skin. I feel that whenever I brush over my foundation with a powder rather than lightly dusting I feel like it's just moving product around my skin. It's one I would not recommend purchasing.

Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Duo in Crushed Orchid

I tend to always stick to wearing the same eyeshadow colours but recently I've been wanting to switch it up a little and use different colours - step out of my comfort zone. I brought this beautiful purple duo in the hope to do just this. I've only used it twice and I haven't really done much with it, I just made a winged liner with the darker purple but it did look good. I haven't really tried anything else with this product so I can't give much feedback on it yet. I will say that the darker purple is really true to colour, it's super pigmented and comes out beautifully. The lighter shade I'm slightly disappointed in, it's not super pigmented it takes a lot of building up in order to get the actual colour and look visible.

L'oreal Lumi Magique Primer
L'oreal Miss Manga Mascara

I'd read a lot of hype about the Lumi Magique primer so when I was buying my True Match Foundation and had "buy a second half price" I picked it up. It comes out a beautiful white pearl colour and when blended in the skin it leaves your skin looking plump and glowing. A very glamourous looking glow if you catch my drift. I've only used my True Match Foundation over the top of this and it didn't really look that great, I felt the foundation sat ontop of my skin and didn't look like it had blended in as great as it usually does. I want to try this primer underneath a BB cream, maybe it'll work slightly better but so far I'm impressed with it on it's own, but underneath foundation I'm not impressed.

The Miss Manga Mascara I'm a little bit on the fence with. I've read a lot of mixed reviews on this mascara, Some people LOVE it and some people erm... not so much. I love how it makes my bottom lashes look, after using this they look super long and they separate beautifully. I naturally have long lashes anyway so I tend to look for volume and thickening mascara rather than lengthening. To use this product on it's own on my top lashes I'm not 100% impressed, I've found it does clump the top lashes together  a little and it doesn't make them look thick, just a really long! See my Instagram Picture here. I do like the fact it's got a bendy wand, I don't feel like I have less control which is something some people said they didn't like. Overall I've just been using this on my bottom lashes and then another mascara for my top.

Avon Care Cocoa Butter Body Moisturiser
L'oreal Skin Perfection face Moisturiser
L'oreal Skin Perfection Magic Touch Instant Blur
The Avon Moisturiser was a total bargain, I brought a 400 ml bottle for £2.50 and believe me when I say it smells DIVINE!! It smells so darn yummy! I put it on after my shower on the evening and in the morning the next day my skin still smells super divine! It's not an over powering smell it's rather subtle but I do get little whiffs of it every now and again. This products leaves my skin feeling super soft, I use fake tan nearly everyday so my skin can get quite dry and patchy, I've only been using this for like a week but I'm already seeing a visible difference in my dry patches already.

I seem to be a little bit obsessed with L'oreal at the moment right? I've just been reading some great things about their products at the moment, they seem to be smashing it with their products at the moment!

I brought this Skin perfection magic touch instant blur after watching how much Nicole Guerriero rave about it so much. I've never really noticed my pores before, but recently they seem to of gotten rather big and noticeable. So I've brought this in the hope that they'll help them little bad boys out a little. After putting it on you can see a visible difference but once you cleanse and you don't have any make up and you're bare faced again they're just back to being really big again so long term I'm not sure this is working but I have only been using it for a week or so.

Have you got any recommendations of any beauty/skin care products I should try out? I want to invest in the biggest collection EVERRRR! haha okay maybe not that big!

VALENTINES GIFT IDEAS: HIM & HER

That time of year is back again! You either love it, or hate it, yes Valentines day! I personally love it! It is just the same as any other day yes, and why should it just be one day a year that we all get our romantic sides out? I don't know but even when I was single I still loved it! I remember one year, my old best friend and I went to the cinema and then went for a McDonalds after, I've always done something, even if it was just a girly night in with my friends! I've only ever (apart from this year obviously) been in a relationship for 1 Valentines Day!

I just love the idea of people showing their love for someone, not necessarily with gifts but personal things, cooking a nice meal for your loved one or sending a cheeky Valentines Card to your crush! It's just a nice day!

I've come up with a few gift ideas for both Him & Her - I think they work perfectly for if you're lucky in love celebrating with the man/women of your dreams or if you're going solo and want to treat yourself to some goodies!

NO MORE WAITING AROUND WITH WET NAILS: ELEGANT TOUCH RAPID DRY FOR NAILS.

Last weekend I went shopping with my Mom, just a nice quick whiz around the shops nothing too heavy on the purse. I had something I wanted to exchange from Bodycare and when browsing around looking at all the beauty goodies I saw this...
Elegant Touch Rapid Touch for Nails - £2.90
Elegant Touch Rapid Dry for Nails. I first saw this product when reading a post Lily Pebbles wrote here, I didn't know you could get such a thing - have I been hiding under a rock?
Thanks to products like Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover doing my nails have become slightly more hassle free. The one thing I do not like about doing my nails is the waiting... You can guarentee that as soon as you've got wet nail polish on your phone will go off or you'll get an irritating itch that you can't scratch incase you smudge your nails. Every time I paint my nails I ALWAYS smudge them, never are they perfect. So are my days over of not moving an inch and waiting for what feels like a decade for my nails to dry?

The answer is yes, yes they most certainly are! Elegant Touch Rapid Dry claims you'll have dry nails in just 60 seconds, I'm not sure that's entirely true but it does shorten the time of waiting. You hold the can around 10cm away from your nails and spray over the top of your polish. You just wait a minute - I would say 3 minutes, not 1 and then whallah! I will say however it does make the nail varnish a little matte, you loose a lot of gloss once this has been sprayed but that can be fixed with a good top coat. I did found myself spraying one or two nails twice just because they took longer to dry, but that's down to a bit more extra polish on those.

I think if you're like me and tend to only do your nails when in a rush then you need this product in your life! At £2.90 this bad boy is a total bargain! I don't think I'll be painting my nails again in a hurry without it.

DREAMING OF COTTON CANDY

I have stood back and drooled for long enough! I think it's about time I jumped in two feet first and just give in to temptation!

Source: Google Images
Source: Google Images
Source: Google Images
YES I WANT TO DYE MY HAIR PASTEL PINK! Well maybe not the whole lot, just a tint here and there. I have admired those who have had the guts to do it, stood back and thought "oh god I wish I had the confidence to do that" but I think the time may have come!

A few weeks ago I stripped the red out of my hair, it didn't exactly go back to my natural colour but it went lighter and I really like it, it's made me want to go even lighter! I've always wanted to try going blonde but I've been worried about the damage it will do to my hair, obviously I've bleached it to ombre it and it did a fair bit of damage so it has put me off slightly. I think it's just about caring for it properly and using the right products. Since having my hair cut shorter it's been in great condition, so I don't really want to damage it when it's so good at the moment.

I am really on the fence with this, I've brought a dye that will lighten my colour a few stages so I think I'll see how that goes and then get a temporary lilac or pink! It's just hair right? I can dye it back to brown if I don't like it...

Ooohh the excitement!

With Love,
